Kids First! believes that a motivated teacher’s impact on students can be enhanced if the right support is provided.  Support needs can vary greatly depending on the teacher and his/her circumstances.   Reading aides, teacher assistant(s), teacher training and development, and computer technology  are just a few examples of support that may be useful.

Kids First! encourages teachers to identify initiatives that can materially improve the quality of education provided.  If those programs need funding outside of the school budget, Kids First! will consider requests for support.

Special attention will be given to grant requests that support early learning initiatives in qualified pre-school programs.  It is anticipated that approximately 80% of all grants made by Kids First! will be in support of early learning initiatives. 

Approval of support will be made by the Kids First! Board of Directors.  Applications for grants should be made via the grant application process/forms under the tab “Grants”.
