Kids First! supports qualified scholarship/financial aid funds in order to ease the financial burden of attending private, on-island schools and preschools.  All support of scholarship/financial aid funds will be for St. John children whose parent(s) or guardian(s) are St. John residents, to attend St. John schools.

Consistent with the Kids First! focus on early learning development, priority will be given to scholarships/financial aid that increases attendance at qualified pre-schools on St. John. 

Any scholarship/financial aid funds supported by Kids First! must have a rigorous process to evaluate, grant and monitor their recipient’s progress.  They must be needs based and have minimum standards of performance, both for the student and the parent(s) or guardian(s).   They must not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex sexual orientation, disabilities or age for either the recipient or his/her parent(s) or guardian(s).

Approval of support will be made by the Kids First! Board of Directors.  Applications for grants should be made via the grant application process/forms under the tab “Grants”.
